Today, there is a new assignment. Log into your Plato account, complete the three assignments: Finding Skills, My Favorite Things, and Personality Plus.
Then, copy and paste everything below in green, save it as Plato 6, then complete the three assignments.

In the Skills Bank, list the 8 different skills areas
Now that you have identified the 8 skill areas,
List some of the skills you have. You should be able to find at least two or three skills per area, so you will have a list of 15 to 25 skills.
In the Types of People, list the six different types of people.
Now choose the type you are close to and write about this category in your own words.

Classwork: No new assignments. Today, be sure to finish Career Activity # 3- See Monday's classwork for details.
If you are finished, complete any previous work, inparticular, be sure all of Plato 5 assignment is done. See last Thursday for details. Both of these assignments are due Tomorrow, Thursday.

This will be a short week, as we have no class on Tuesday. Today start on Career Activity 3, below. Then, if you are missing assignments, you may review previous weeks, and make up any missing work.

Classwork:
Career Activity 3 -Using Career Selector
Objective: For you to use factors like working conditions, education, core tasks, and income to sort occupations and find suitable career choices.
Directions:
Open Career Cruising and log into the program
From the main screen, click on Explore Careers, then click on Career Selector.
Select your Favorite School Subjects (preferably 2 or 3 choices). Then click Next.
Click on Occupational Clusters. Select 2 to 3 areas in which you would be interested in working. Then click next.
Click on Education. Select the type of education you plan to pursue. Then click Next.
Click on Core Tasks. Be sure to read all 20 core tasks. Choose 3 to 5 tasks you would like to do regularly at work. Click Next
Click on Earnings. Select the minimum level of income you would like. Click Next.
Click on Working Conditions. Select working conditions you could not tolerate. Click next.
Now click View Results to see careers that match your selections. (Note: If your receive 0 matches,, try clicking on the View Close Matches tab.
Scroll through the list and click on a career that interest you.
Copy everything below in green. Paste it to a Word document. Save it on your student drive as career activity 3.
