Welcome to your semester exam.

First, make a folder on your student drive, and label it Career Portfolio. Save this semester exam inside your portfolio. Remember to write your answers in a different color from the questions.
This semester exam is more a summary of what you feel has been of value in helping you find a future career. A career that is very rewarding. Be sure to save this exam on your student drive for use during your high school years.
Part I
Open the Career Cruising website at
http://www.careercruising.com/
Log in and go to Explore careers.
Now list the sixteen career clusters, in order of importance to you. Number 1 being the most important, number 16 the least important.

Next, list five careers within your number one choice for a career cluster.

From the Matchmaker sessions you completed. What were your top five career choices?
List them below. (If you need, you can complete another matchmaker session. Be sure to complete more than just the 39 basic questions)

Part II.
Review the magazine American Careers that is provided for you. Find the Career Cluster you are most interested in from Part I. Read through the entire section on that career cluster.

List the name of the magazine, the name of the article you read, the page numbers.
What are some facts and information that you feel are useful to you?


Finally, copy and paste at least one website from the magazine that you think will be helpful to you.

When you are finished, and have saved it in your folder labeled career Portfolio, show it to Mr. Cochran for approval and grading.
